Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Road safety workshop conducted to educate and sensitize youth to safer and responsible two-wheeler riders on July 21, 2018.
  • Maharashtra government, under article 48 (A) of the Directive Principle of State Policy, run a movement across the state named as GREEN ARMY MAHARASHTRA. Social Responsibility Cell organized a Tree Plantation Drive on SRC celebration day, 31 August 2018
  • Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel on 31st October as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day). All the faculty members and students of TIMSR took a pledge that they preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
  • The prize distribution ceremony was held in January 2018 for the Annual event of TIMSR, SAMVEDNA (Lakshya)

  • The Social Responsibility Team performed the MIME act on Road Safety on Independence Day 2018 at TIMSR, Mumbai. 
  • International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2018 to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every participant. The session was focused on the spiritual value that yoga and meditation offer.

  • Team Samvedna participated in the cleaning and painting activity under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan of the Government of India in Association with Mahindra & Mahindra, Kandivali on 11th November 2017.
  • Social Responsibility Team conducted the Donation drive on 22 November 2018, for “The National Foundation For Communal Harmony” (An autonomous organization with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India) 

  • Successfully conducted the full-day workshop which discussed different topics, Winning Attitude, Personality Development, Stress Management, “Chak De India”(A Movie Show) along Personality Analysis were conducted on personality development. 


  • Felicitation of Social Responsibility Cell’s Leader of MMS, PGDM Batch (2017-2019) at TIMSR (Thakur Institute of Management Studies), Mumbai.
  • The Dance Parody was performed by the SRC team at Thakur Education Group, Kandivali, on 26th January 2019. The Dance Parody was performed on the theme “Women's Empowerment”. Dance Parody gives students a way of portraying feelings, emotions, and entire stories through movement and expression, which helps in all aspects of acting. 
  • Social Responsibility Cell (SRC) of Thakur Institute of Management Studies & Research (TIMSR) conducted an Activity – “April Cool”. This summer SRC is taking the initiative to beat the heat by watering the plant and making this Earth “Cool”. We water the plant at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali. Through this activity, TIMSR will be able to impart both Social & ethical Values among its students. The students will also understand the concept of the contribution of a responsible citizen to Nature.
  • Dance Parody was performed by the SRC team at Thakur Education Group, Kandivali, on 26th January 2020. The Dance Parody was performed on the theme “Child Abuse, Child Labour and Peace & Harmony”. Dance Parody gives students a way of portraying feelings, emotions, and entire stories through movement and expression, which helps in all aspects of acting. 

  • The institute celebrated National Energy Conservation Day 2019 on 14 November 2019; to create awareness about energy conservation. Measures to avoid unnecessary use of energy and to use at least energy so that energy sources can be saved for future uses. In order to make energy conservation plans more effective, every person should include energy conservation in their behaviour.

  • The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India has announced the observance of the 31st Road Safety Week Campaign. The theme for this year's campaign was Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha” proposed by the Prime Minister of India.
     TIMSR’S (Social Responsibility Cell) in association with Mahindra & Mahindra, Mumbai and Hella Electronics, Chandigarh. Collaborated for Road Safety- A National Event 2020 “Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha” proposed by the Prime Minister of India”.  The event was intended to raise public awareness about traffic rules and ultimately to reduce casualties due to road accidents. Overall 61 Students of TIMSR earnestly participated in support of the event.   

  • TIMSR is one of the most active B-Schools when it comes to CSR activities. There are conscious efforts to encourage the students to take responsibility and initiatives in the social sector and for the betterment of society. The Social Responsibility Cell provides a platform for students to explore and pursue their passion through which students can make a positive impact on society at large. 

  • Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research Celebrated the Garba Night with Students 2020
  • Conducted a training session for MBA Final Year Students on Stress Management on 12 February 2020

  • Conducted a session on awareness of the social responsibility of students or citizens towards society.
